2022: Another Chance to Change!

Happy 2022!

2021 was a big year for me because I was let go of my 9-5 which catapulted my entrepreneurship journey, I committed to building my online presence as a financial advisor, I hit a bunch of business and financial milestones, I helped 130 clients through financial mentorship and ended the year with an intense, transformative epiphany. I learned to tighten up my boundaries (AGAINπŸ₯΄), heavily schedule my days, automate parts of my business, challenge myself with goals and much more! My goals for 2022 include introducing new elements to my business, continuing to fearlessly market myself, building a team and making smart investments.

A friend sent me these super dope journal prompts to reflect on 2021 and prepare for 2022. There's about 36 pages so during my downtime, I complete the questions. I want to remind you to always be willing to learn from the past and use those lessons to thrive in the future. You can't change the past so focus on making each new day, new month, new year better. Take it once step at a time, release the need to be perfect, give yourself grace and develop a strong sense of self.

If your last few years looked similar financially, it's time to commit to change. We can't expect different results with the same behaviours. Reality is, a lot of us need accountability to achieve our goals and that's okay! Don't be afraid to ask for help! I now offer Accountability Coaching for those who need long-term, consistent check-ins and guidance regarding their goals. In December 2021, I committed to better time management so I started to reduce my social media usage, I set a goal to read 5 books by June, I bought an adult colouring book, I'm consistently journaling weekly and watching YouTube videos about investing at night. What are you committing to or what changes are you making and how are you going to hold yourself accountable?

Remember: every day is another chance to change your financial situation, your habits, your relationships with people, your intentions, all of it. Don't let another year pass doing the same thing, getting the same results, especially if you want more.

All love, always, Shay.πŸ’›
